Welcome to the collective: The wide field that we cultivate offers a home for electronic music and related things. We produce, DJ, promote, organize and do stuff. We believe that life should be a total work of art and that is how we act.
Diversity instead of simplicity: Music is an image, brings movement in us and you. Images sound great if you listen to them intensively enough. What we do can, may and should appeal to all the senses. That's why we're open to different... things. Which ones are they? We don't want to commit ourselves there either. Our world is too colorful for that.
A few words about us
We – the people behind FOURBEATS – come from a city that can look back on a long techno tradition; Hanover. This may well irritate some people who, at first glance, only think of Berlin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and perhaps Hamburg; but it is like that. Long before the fall of the Wall, Hanover was a techno hotspot alongside other cities. Even today there is a lively scene here, a few charming clubs and of course people with taste.
FOURBEATS has been around for a while. It started – somewhere else – in Berlin and, more likely than not, in one of those shady-beautiful or beautifully shady bars. FOURBEATS was created at the instigation of Marco Remus (Nerven Records), who was of the opinion that his photographer would also be suitable as a booker. Now times are changing and we have turned our backs on Berlin. After a while of strange passivity, FOURBEATS is now back and, as in Berlin, FOURBEATS is a collective that consists of the people who are there and get involved - on whatever level. We are a platform, a community of individualists, creative people, a loose association of friends who like to cooperate and want to make something happen together.

Willkommen im Kollektiv: Das weite Feld, das wir bestellen, bietet elektronischer Musik und artverwandten Dingen eine Heimat. Wir produzieren, legen auf, promoten, organisieren und machen Sachen. Wir glauben, dass das Leben ein Gesamtkunstwerk sein sollte und so agieren wir auch.
Vielfalt statt Einfalt: Musik ist ein Bild, bringt Bewegung in uns und Euch. Bilder klingen, hört man sie nur intensiv genug an. Das, was wir tun, kann, darf und soll alle Sinne ansprechen. Darum sind wir offen für verschiedene ... Sachen. Welche das sind? Auch da wollen wir uns nicht festlegen. Dafür ist unsere Welt zu bunt.
Ein paar Worte zu uns
Wir – also die, die hinter FOURBEATS stehen, kommen aus einer Stadt, die auf eine lange Techno-Tradition zurückblicken kann; Hannover. Das mag einige Menschen durchaus irritieren, die auf das erste Ohr nur an Berlin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart und vielleicht noch Hamburg denken; ist aber so. Hannover war lange vor dem Fall der Mauer neben anderen Städten ein Techno-Hotspot. Auch heute gibt es hier eine lebendige Szene, ein paar charmante Clubs und natürlich Menschen mit Geschmack.
FOURBEATS gibt es schon eine Weile. Es begann – wo auch sonst – in Berlin und eher das auch eher zufällig in einer dieser zwielichtig-schönen oder auch schön zwielichtigen Kneipen. FOURBEATS entstand auf das Betreiben von Marco Remus (Nerven Records), der die Auffassung vertrat, dass sein Fotograf sich auch als Booker eignen würde. Nun ändern sich die Zeiten und wir kehrten Berlin den Rücken. Nach einer Weile merkwürdiger Passivität gibt es FOURBEATS jetzt wieder und wie schon in Berlin, ist FOURBEATS ein Kollektiv, das aus den Menschen besteht, die dabei sind, sich einbringen – auf welcher Ebene auch immer. Wir sind eine Plattform, eine Kommune aus Individualisten, aus Kreativen, ein lockerer Zusammenschluss aus Freund:innen, die gerne kooperieren, etwas zusammen bewegen wollen.
